Duration: 120+ minutes

Description

Groups presented to their peers while the audience used the Presentation Rubric to assess key components of the presentations (see handouts below).

Each presentation was fifteen minutes in duration, and groups were expected to cover all the areas outlined in the Presentation Requirements handout provided in a previous activity.

School staff and other adults were also invited to the presentations, and students were encouraged to ask family or community members (though none actually took us up on this).

The two English teachers collaborated on this, and so classes presented to each other in an attempt to gather as authentic of an audience as possible. It took four days to get through all of the presentations.

Students had to turn in the following items at the close of their presentation:
1. Mythology Comprehension & Analysis Packets
2. Summaries of each myth
3. Actual Project (movie poster, etc.)
4. Modern Connection
5. Written Agenda of Presenation
6. Group Contract
