Description

Students worked on line delivery, use of emotion, blocking, and status roles. This was a pre-filming requirement to ensure that students were well prepared before signing out a camera. All groups had to present their "rough scenes" for the teachers before being allowed to proceed to actual filming.

Author Reflections

Students became frustrated if we didn't immediately sign off on their practice rounds. Most of the time, we would give them suggestions/pointers and have them practice some more. This work benefited students later on, because as they began filming, they found themselves much more prepared for acting out the scenes.
