Description

The goal of this benchmark is for students to formally complete a scientific lab analysis report and statistical analysis for math. The scientific lab analysis is based on the Envision-wide graduation portfolio rubric for this assignment.

Certain myths do not lend themselves to great statistical analysis so not all groups complete that portion of the assignment.

The formal (written) scientific lab analysis was made optional for our project but was encouraged for students that wanted to make this project a component of their graduation portfolio for science or wanted to secure a strong grade.

Author Reflections

This part of the project was very ambitous given how difficult it was to design and conduct the experiments. Most groups/group members did not complete a formal scientific lab report. Nonetheless, I think it is valuable to challenge the high-end students with completing this benchmark - especially if they are shooting for breakthrough performance.
