Project: The Odyssey Mosaic Retelling

Description
A week or two into the reading, introduce the Mosaic Retelling Project itself. A good time to do it is immediately after reading Book IV. Play the song "The Last Temptation of Odysseus" while following along with the lyrics.
When the song finishes playing, tell the students "Now it's your turn."
Explain that there is a long tradition of artistic retellings of The Odyssey, and that in this project, students have the opportunity to contribute to this tradition.
Students then review a schedule of the benchmarks [see attached resource: Project Overview] and have time for clarifying questions.
